The Story of Oh Jujube

Oh Jujube was born from a deep respect for food made the old way.

I was raised in a Korean home where love was expressed through cooking. Not shortcuts, not convenience, but care. My mom cooked everything from scratch for our family of six, whether that meant simmering anchovy stock or making big batches of homemade kimchi. Nothing was rushed. Nothing was disposable. Food was about nourishment and tradition and of course — it was about love. And that philosophy stayed with me.

Jujubes were a quiet constant in our home. As soon as any one of us got sick, my mom had a big pot of jujube ginger tea simmering away at the stove. Over time, I realized how rare it had become to find truly simple, honest dried fruit the way my mom liked it: organic, minimally processed, and handled with care.

Oh Jujube exists to preserve this simplicity.

We source organic Korean jujubes grown without pesticides or chemicals and handle them as little as possible, honoring the fruit as it is. No added sugar. No preservatives. Just whole fruit, grown and dried naturally right here in California, USA.

At its heart, this little small business is about nourishing the body but also memories, heritage, and connection. It’s an invitation to slow down, snack with care, and experience a food that has sustained generations that came before us. I'm so glad that you're here.
